Meet the Aptera, a solar electric car that ‘never needs to be charged with a range of 1,600 km

Electric cars are developing more and more, and the batteries are already able to deliver an autonomy of up to 1,600 kilometers without needing a recharge.

That is the case of the Aptera model, an electric vehicle that has a range of 1,600 km after being recharged. Recently introduced to the market, the Aptera is expected to be commercialized from 2022.

According to the price suggestion for the vehicle, some versions vary in price between US$ 25.9 thousand and US$ 46 thousand. With just one recharge, the more expensive version of the Aptera promises a range of 1,600 kilometers and will have a battery capacity of 100 kW/h.

The first models launched on the market in 2022 will be called Paradigm and Paradigm+, according to the value of each version. With these versions, the automaker develops cars with an automatic solar energy recharge system using photovoltaic panels.

In addition to guaranteeing a range of 1,600 km, the models that Apera will launch will have the most extended coverage on the market. With a unique design, the brand’s electric car will have only three wheels, which will help the model go so long without a recharge.

The Apera brand cars will use solar energy to have a photovoltaic panel installed on the roof to capture energy. With this panel, which measures 3² and has 180 photovoltaic cells installed, the car will receive an electrical energy charge of up to 73 kW per day.
