It is no secret that Light DeFi is deeply concerned with the 2030 Agenda, an agreement reached in 2015 by the United Nations’ 193 member states committed to improving the lives of all people around the world.
The Agenda’s eighth goal is to “promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.”
Some steps must be performed to accomplish this. According to the UN website, we have provided the four most important ones for you to be aware of:
Maintain per capita economic growth in accordance with national circumstances, with a minimum yearly increase of 7% of gross domestic product [GDP] in the least developed countries.
Increase economic productivity through diversification, technical modernization, and innovation, including a concentration on high-value-added and labor-intensive sectors.
Encourage the formalization and expansion of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, including access to financial services, through development-oriented policies that support productive activities, decent job creation, entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation.
Improve global resource efficiency in consumption and production gradually by 2030, and aim to divorce economic growth from environmental deterioration, in accordance with the Ten Year Plan of Programs on Sustainable Production and Consumption, with developed countries leading the way.
