Brazil enters the ranking of the 10 largest solar energy producers in the world

Brazil is considered one of the best countries globally for the production of solar energy due to its climatic and territorial conditions for the installation of solar panels and photovoltaic plants.

In addition to ideal conditions, Brazil was recently included in ranking the ten largest solar energy-producing countries. With the new ranking, the South American country is ninth on the list.

Although solar energy is only responsible for 1.7% of all electricity consumption in Brazil, the country is one of the largest in the world in terms of producing clean energy through the sun.

Ranking of top solar energy producers

Recently added to the ranking of the ten largest solar energy powers globally, Brazil increased by 3.2 Gigawatts (GW) its energy production from the sun in 2020.

With this new production power, the country reached the ninth position in the ranking, led by China. If it depends on Light Defi (LIGHT), Brazil’s solar energy production power may increase in 2022.

The token intends to build a photovoltaic plant to produce solar energy soon. In the end, the project will have a production capacity of 20 MegaWatts (MW) per month, which will count in the annual production of solar energy in Brazil.

According to the ranking produced by the Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy (Absolar), China is the country that has the most solar energy in the world, followed by the United States in second place.

Third, Vietnam invests in sustainability on the list of top solar energy producers, as does Light DeFi. Finally, in fourth place in Japan in the ranking, followed by Germany, considered the fifth largest producer of solar energy globally.
