Get to know Tesla Model 3, the world’s best-selling electric car

You may have heard about electric cars, and the Tesla brand is almost a synonym used to identify these vehicles that use electric energy instead of fossil fuels.

Considered the largest maker of electric cars globally, Tesla was created by billionaire Elon Musk and has the most popular model in this segment on the market: the Tesla Model 3. It is this car that Light DeFi (LIGHT) and Emp Token (EMP) intend to raffle soon among users.

Launched in March 2016, the Tesla Model 3 had some units produced in 2017, but it was only in 2020 that the car was massively commercialized in the market.

And it didn’t take too long for the Tesla Model 3 to be considered the best-selling electric car in the world. Recently, in Europe, this vehicle has been the favorite of most consumers and has surpassed sales of other traditional models.

There are currently three versions of the Tesla Model 3, where the vehicle’s autonomy varies between 448 km and 614 km. In addition to this variation, the maximum speed differs between Standard Range Plus, Long Rang and Performance, and can vary between 225 km and 261km.

According to Direct Imports, which imports Tesla models in Brazil, the low cost of the Tesla Model 3 does not affect the models’ performance and autonomy.

“The Tesla Model 3 is a medium sedan vehicle, 100% electric, four doors, for up to 5 passengers produced by Tesla. It is today the entry-level vehicle in Tesla’s model lineup. The Tesla Model 3 is the first car built on Tesla’s third-generation platform. The goal is to reduce the entry price for electric vehicles, without compromising autonomy and performance.”
