With a production capacity of up to 250,000 cars a year, Volkswagen’s new factory for electric vehicles could be responsible for up to ⅓ of the German automaker’s entire vehicle production.
In addition to promising a dispute with Tesla models, the new Volkswagen factory will be installed just 250 km from a Tesla factory in Germany, located in Grünheide. At the German unit at the Tesla factory, which is in the final stages of installation, up to 500,000 vehicles powered by electricity may be produced.
